Oh yes, it’s true, Luna are signing to Jetset Records, our new album Romantica is due out in April, twelve very nice original Luna compositions. Produced by Luna and Gene Holder, Mixed by Dave Fridmann. When we know the exact release date, we will post it on the site. When we know the European label situation, we will post that too.

Thanks for the emails asking about copies being sold on Ebay already, but we cannot stop poor unfortunate weasel journalists from trying to make an extra dollar. We can only tell you that the real CD release will have a lovely lyric sheet and some photos of the band.

Other things we’ve been doing... we performed on New Year’s Eve at the Knitting Factory, two shows in one night. There was confetti and noiseblowers and champagne and stuff. Afterwards some of us went to “Motherfucker”. It was crowded and the music was awful. The kids were dancing to Duran Duran and Toni Basil.

Last week we were back in the studio finishing up some B-sides, including the following covers: “Waiting on A Friend”, “Only Women Bleed” and “Dancing Days.” Be afraid!

Here’s the track listing for Romantica:
1    Lovedust
2    Weird and Woozy
3    Black Postcards
4    Black Champagne
5    Swedish Fish
6    Renee is Crying
7    Mermaid Eyes
8    1995
9    Rememories
10 Dizzy
11  Orange Peel
12  Romantica

p.s. I am posting a list of my favorite records of 2001, a little late I know, but I'm a slow and methodical writer.
